One thing off the to-do list

I've mentioned my super-secret fall project a couple times. It is now DONE! DONE! DONE! and given to the recipient......
The stats:
2 skeins (with only about 10 yds left) of Kraemer Sterling and Silk in Princess (pink)
Pattern an adaptation of 'Road Not Taken' from A Fine Fleece - I made a few changes, such as making it an 18x36 repeat (as 18 is the numerical value of chai [life] in Hebrew), as that seemed like a good way to go for a wedding shawl (ok, so I missed her wedding - finished it in time for her birthday/Hanukah - or close enough grin).

Now on to the various other UFOs/WIPs I have..... and the destashing (reminder about my commenting nudge......help me de-stash grin).

How pretty! And don't feel bad about not completing it in time for your friend's wedding. My good friend was at my house on Dec. 23 finishing a quilt that she had started for her husband FIVE YEARS AGO! :) (She did finish it and he loved it.)

Absolutely lovely. And building in Chai into a wedding shawl is a lovely idea. Maybe I'll start doing that with baby blankets - they should have a long healthy life.

That is a beautiful shawl! If you're still giving away stash stuff, I have waaaaaay too much of my own. But I will designate a recipient if you like.

Well, it was awful pretty, I did get to see it in person after all. Personally though I am digging the background of said Kallah and the new shawl, I mean what amazing artistic person decorates their home like that? :-)

Yes, I chose that particular picture just for the background, not for any other reason ;-) Having artistic friends is so nice ;-)
